Powder coating hangings are an important part of the process as they hold the parts in place to ensure an even coating. There are several methods of hanging parts, including the use of wire, clamps, hooks and special stands. It is important that the hangers are sturdy and do not corrode, as this can affect the quality of the coating. The hooks and hangers can be used several times. It is recommended to remove the hangers as well as possible before baking the powder coating color (e.g. compressed air), in order to prolong the use. Since over time the powder coating layer on the hanging system increases near the contact points, it is advisable to decoat the hooks regularly to prevent processing problems, during application for example, or the hanging of certain parts is no longer possible due to the hooks having too thick a layer and the holes being too small.

What should be taken into account when selecting the suspension for powder coating?

The hangings for powder coating should meet certain requirements, such as electrical conductivity to ensure uniform charging of the powder and corrosion resistance to prevent corrosion of the hanging material. They must also be robust enough to support and move the object to be coated while it is being coated.
