Glaze Powder coating Polyester Industrial quality
Smooth gloss (visual)
The glazes are individually colored transparent powder coatings. The colors are used for decorative purposes on various surfaces. To get the candy effect, you should use a suitable substrate for the glaze, we recommend our chrome effect powder coating.
Please note that the transparent glazes can achieve different color results on different substrates. Likewise, the intensity of the color tone is strongly dependent on the layer thickness! A layer thickness difference of 20 µm already causes a visual color difference. Before you apply color to your workpiece, you should make a sample sheet with the desired powder coating combinations.
Suitable for electrostatic (corona) and tribo processes.
Please observe the processing instructions for the glazes. The appropriate technical data sheets can be downloaded as PDF files under the FAQ. There is also a guide for the processing of glazes under the FAQs.
Grease, oil, scale and oxidation products must be removed from the surface before coating.
Recommendation for exterior use
After stoving the primer and the substrate, the desired glaze is applied. In the case of the glazes, this can result in 3 or 4 color coats (primer + substrate + glaze + clear coat). Please note that you should check your coating equipment for performance and whether it is possible to apply several coats.
Since the powder coatings are manufactured in industrial quality, we recommend the use of our clear coat for outdoor use to protect the color from UV radiation in the long term. Likewise, you can change the effect, for example, with the colorless powder flat matte.
Recommended curing time
At 180 °C object temperature 15 - 20 min
At 90 μm film thickness 10 m²/kg
Optimum film thickness
